Personal background

Well, I grew up in the wonderful tree city of Kelethin. Not to far away, is the gnomish city of Ak'Anon. I used to travel there quite a bit as a young elf to see what new and wonderous inventions the gnomes were working on. One day, when wandering the city, I met an elderly gnome. He spoke to me of an invention that searched the skies in search of new lands, and new civilizations. Just recently, the moon continent of Luclin was discovered, and the Vah Shir people introduced to our society. Now, I assist with his reasearch, in hopes of finding another civilization in the sky, more new lands to explore.

I play alot of everquest, a wonderful online roleplaying game. I formed the "Everquest - Lanys T'Vyl" club as a place for the people on my server to go to assist in the seti project.

Asside from playing way to much everquest, I work at a shop, and spend my paychecks on DJ equipment and computer components. My room glows at night with all the LED's.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1) Heck yes. I'm sure it's out there somewhere. I couldn't tell ya how or when we'll discover it, I'm not a god. Benefits are extrodinary, the dangers, are equally extrodinary. New diseases could be brought to us, that would eliminate our society. But I feel as a species, we are ready to deal with such a discovery

2)Heck yes. As for what information, I haven't a clue.

3)Why? To help science. My views? This project helps science. So I help the project. No suggestions at all.
