I cannot believe that we alone in the universe; the view that we are (or may be) is arrogant and selfish.
However, perhpas we should NOT try to find others - as with the discovery of the "Borg" on Star Trek, we may open a can of worms that we cannot close and may find ourselves at a huge disadvantage.
That having been said, I am helping because the benefits of discovering other civilisations probably outweigh the risks. |
