Profile: Starwalker

Personal background
I was born at Bluehill, Maine in 1952. I read sci-fi, fantasy and techie books, in that order. I was a nerd. I played football in high school and was a member of the Math Club. Neither got me any chicks. I went to West Point for a brief period, then to the US Air Force for 9 years, 27 days. AAS degrees in Education and Instrumentation. Got married in there somewhere. Two great kids. Joined HP when Bill and Dave were still around. They, and the GI Bill, paid for my BS in Computer Science. (I did mention I was a geek, right?) Got divorced. Still great kids, just older. Met this cool chick. Got married again. Got an MS in computer stuff. Life is good

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have all these toys at home that can compute stuff and I was tired of seeing unused cpu cycles all over the floor mornings. It would be neat to really discover ET.
