Personal background
So I'm sitting hear reading about real time operating system file management strategies trying to prepare for my last final of the term but I'm finding that my 5 minute break becomes a 30 minute perusal of the message boads on the S@H site. After about 30 mins I start clicking the little heads next to peoples names and think to myself; "damn, that's pretty cool. I should get a little head for my account too." I make a note to think of something clever to write in my personal profile 'after' finals and go back to my RTOS book... '12.3 FILE DIRECTORIES' ok, I deserve another 5 min break so here I am and this is my clever thing to say for now.

Oh, I should mention that I'm a university student in Canada, guess that gives you an idea of my occupation, age and anything else about me. I mostly spend my time doing school work (or not doing like now) so there isn't much else to say.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I got interested in S@H when I heard about it on the discovery channel back before the first release. At first I thought it was pretty cool that I could be part of the SETI program so I signed myself up and it is pretty cool! I now have additional reasons why I run S@H. My primary reason is still being part of the search but now after having learnt about all the improvements in operating system design it seems silly to have my computer manage processes so efficiently just to free up CPU cycles to run the idle processes.
