I'm a Computer engineer and I bring home busted computers from work and bring them back to life. I make them process whatever data I can find to help science that's worth something. Seti is the most important to me because I believe.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
2 pcs, 1 laptop, and I rack mounted server running Seti@home and processing data 24/7. My number one unit is a is My Rack mounted Dell 1850 that is running Ubuntu Server edition with two Xeon processors. Right now I have that processing just seti at 100% because I haven't done anything else with it.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
