Personal background |
Let's see here... I am currently a student in New York, United States. My hobbies are cycling, backpacking, camping, reading, and having strange conversations with my buddies.
I have a sister, and two parents. My parents have been married for twenty years, and live here in New York.
I have a girlfriend, so sorry ladies. We have been going out for a few months now, and we are almost total opposites.
I am conservative moderate, but only as far as having moderate views with strong conservative tendencies. I will stick by my views until the bitter end.
I am also not disgusted when talking about bodily functions, which I use against my more squemish friends. I love seeing them turn green when eating.
Most everything else about my life is quite boring, so I'll stop now. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
1. Yes, I believe extraterrestrial life exists, and has existed since the beginning of time. Humans will discover it by the end of the twenty-first century when exploring our galaxy. The benefits are trade, technology, and more views on the matters of life.
2. I don't think Humans should transmit a beacon for others to find. I think it would attract unwanted attention by hostile extraterrestrials.
3. I run SETI@home to see if my beliefs are true, and to help in the search for life on other worlds. I think the project is great, and gives its' users a sense of being able to work together for a common purpose, regardless of our differences. |
