Personal background
My interest in seti@home came from my hobbies and my studies. I'm interested
in Astronomy and Astrophotography, and I'm studying Physics at University, here
in Italy.
I'm 24 years old.
I use a Duron 800 to process Seti@home WU.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that extraterrestrial life exist, but we can't know what kind of life is.
Probably we can discover primordial bacteria or viruses in solar system.
Very much less probably we can discover intelligent life in exstrasolar systems,
not becouse it not exist, but for the difficulties that this purpouse has.
I hope seti@home could be a starting point for a new way of doing science,
a way that could give everyone the opportunity to partecipate.
About seti@home hopes to ear a extraterrestrial intelligence signal? very few.
Few are the probabilities to receive it and few are to notice it.
But this not means to give up!
On the opportunity to send a beacon, I think it could be dangerous.
In the remote hypothesis that it is received and understand by an intelligence form
of life, we don't know what are intentions of the receiver.
It's fundamental to know if an EI exist, but to contact it is very dangerous.
We must perform a passive research.
