Profile: David Koorn

Personal background
David, 38 from Holland, the small country of tulips and windmills. Currently having 2 machines running the Seti client.

When my desktops in the office are crunching the Seti numbers and i'm not at work, i like to read a good book, drive my motorbike, pet our cats (3) or dog, sail if i can find a boat to hop on, watch a movie and almost always listen to music..
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Does extraterrestrial live exist? Yes, there must be someone out there, it's to arrogant to think that we are alone in this enormous universe. If we make contact with ET in the next 50 or so years we should be very much ashamed of what we did to this wonderful planet in the last 2000 years, i still have hopes for the future of mankind but they are minimizing each day. I don't see a danger in encountering ET, whe shouldn't always be so afraid of the things we don't know or understand.

Should we transmit a beacon? Hhm... yes, but what we should send? read previous statement, are there achievments we can really be proud of ? (wars, polution, depleting natural resources, religious conflicts)

Why do i run Seti@Home? I hope to help and find ET, so we can make contact and we can be educated by ET how to properly run a planet.
