Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
This distributed computing event is so unbelievable! I'm thrilled to be part of a group searching for intelligent life in outer space.

I can't imagine the the creative force would only have managed one creation. I know that many people fear we are NOT alone, but I have a greater fear of being alone. To try and imagine limitless space and think that we are its only inhabitants makes me sad. The myriad forms of life on earth alone make me confident that there are many other inhabited worlds, each with their own vast array of unique creatures.

Using SETI@home makes me feel as though I am part of the wonderful scientific community. I'm not a scholar (I'm more technically/mechanically inclined) but I have great admiration for those people who have dedicated their lives to expanding our knowledge and understanding of the universe. SETI@home is a way for me to share in that adventure.
