Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I hope there's intelegent life out there - I'd hate to think that humans are the best that nature can come up with ;-) I feel that the belief that we are alone is the biggest conceit that we are cabable of. However, if Einstein was right, the the chances of having a meaninful conversation are slim.


If space is infinite, that either means that there must be an infinite number of intelegent species, or zero! (well any number divided by infinity is as close to zero as makes no difference - meaning we don't exist) I think I prefer the former.


If ET comes calling will we survive? We've just got to hope that he's more "humane" than we are.
