Personal background
I suppose I would say I'm the product of something you would get when you cross a geek with a goth and mold it into a calculating-neurotic freak form.

As for my interests, I love art (in general, as in singing, acting, writing, art media, etc.). I also love the supernatural, and anything unexplained. I like to try and make my own hypothesis and put my own theories to such things. I suppose it's the mystery that keeps me interested, and the fact that it requires my brain to think deep thoughts.

I absolutely adore Lord of the Rings. I love doing a lot of fantasy/sci-fi role playing. I love mostly all music besides country. Classical and Broadway are among some of my top choices, but so are artists like Marilyn Manson and Linkin Park. I suppose that is all I shall say for the time being...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
[b]I most definitely think extraterrestrial life exists! We can't POSSIBLY be the ONLY planet in all of space that has life on it. Sure, the life-forms may not be shaped the same or as intelligent as us. Maybe we're the more un-intelligent ones. Who knows? But I DO know there HAS to be some other forms of life out there. I often wonder, with this SETI project, what it would be like if one day it was my computer that brought about the knowledge of intelligent life on other planets.

I think SETI is a very good idea. Only so many people can use so many machines to search for life in that full, vast galaxy, so why not try to have others who support the idea to aid in the search? My best friend introduced this to me about a year ago, and I've only recently joined, but I use DSL, so I'm glad to be playing my part in helping by having my SETI run at all times.
