Profile: Sam Snyder

Personal background
I've alwats been interested in science and the extra teresterial. I took 2 semesters of astronomy in high school and have been facinated be the stars ever since.
I work full time for a video game retail store, so I let my computer cruch SETI data while i'm away. In my free time, I do martial arts, mainly AMOK! Knife Defence ( http://www.knifefighting.com ).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
As far as ET life, it's completely improbable to believe that we're teh only sentient life in the universe, the universe is just to big...but i'm preaching to the chior now. We never know what we might find out there, if you've ever theen the Men In Black movies, they give some pretty strange possibilities, but none are out of the question. Maybe our universe is just a marble in a kids game...
I think we should transmit a beacon out into space. What's the worst that could happen, we find out that we're not the top of the food chain. Maybe it will give humanity a wake up call and we can start fixign this fragile world we all live on.
I run SETI because it's one of the few programs that I believe actually has true moral and scientific value. Plus, I don't like little flying toasters.
