Profile: Skimmer Dave

Personal background
I'm Dave, 53 living in Houston Texas, I'm a home computer user work way too much so my computer is sitting idle during the daytime hours. I always want to get involved in something global,I have been interested in space and space flight since I was young. my father worked for NASA in the sixties as did most of the pepole who lived around me. one neighbor worked for the charter airline that flew NASA personal between here and the Cape, he arranged so my little brother and myself could meet Scott Carpenter amonth after his space flight, one on one I was eight and so nerveous I shook his hand left handed, I'll never forget it. seti@home seemed the thing to use my unused computer time for and aid in the search. that's about all so, onward through the cosmic fog. E.T. phone us we're listening.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
does E.T. exist? it is naive of us to think we're the only life in the universe
when and how ? unknown
benefits- mind numbing in their vastness
dangers - the same as above
should we transmit a beacon - shoot we're a floating trasmiter now.
why do I run seti@home - curiosity
