Hi, I am a software engineer and have been trying to infiltrate Seti@home onto as many computers as possible (with permission of course).
I started Seti a while ago on my AMD166 and boy did that take a long time to get one unit done.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I am absolutely convinced that there are other species of inteligent life out there. The odds prove it. We are here so there is a greater than 0% probability of life in the universe. The universe is infinite therefore there must be more.
I always wanted to be around when we make contact but I suspect that it will not be in my lifetime so I will try to instil a sense of wonder in my children so that they too can enjoy the thrill of knowledge and the quest for wisdom.
