Personal background
I am ten years old. I live in the United States and I am about to move to Germany! I know how to program in VB, Basic, Logo, and C !! I also know some algebra and matrix algebra. I don't have many friends in school because most of the people at school like sports (like most all people my age) and I don't like sports, I mostly like math and computers. I always wish that I could find someone that is seven to twelve that likes to computers and math as much as I do.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that ET exists. I think that we will find ET within ten years from now, but I have no idea how we are going to find ET. I think that it is going to be by radio signals at least because ships go a lot slower than radio waves. I think that we should send some signals out for ET (if ET exists) to find. I think that we should send a long pulse with no info in it (I think that one with no info is: a. safer because we might give away something ET could use to harm us and b. I think it would be easier to detect) and obviosly from another planet. I think that SETI@HOME is a good project and I also think that if a signal from ET is detected SETI@HOME will detect it first!
