Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I think ET exists. I think it's absolutely impossible that we're the only ones in space.

2. I'm not sure about sending a beacon for others to find. Who knows who'll get it and might wanna take over the planet (take a look at earthlings, they also want to take over the universe), but if we were to send information... We should send something like: Warning! Very fragile beings on this planet! Be very carefull on approaching these strange emotionally unstable humans! They will most likely destroy anything they will get their hands on, even if they don't mean any harm. (or we could just not send anything..)

3. I run SETI@home because I'm very curious about the universe. But if we were to find something like ET... I think we should be very VERY careful.. Imagine beings from another planet discovering Earth?? How would we react on that?? If there's no way of communicating?? Without insulting them or making them angry?? I think everybody is very curious, but in some way scared too I guess.. I think it's very good and wise of us trying to find ET, because you never know what might happen if we will be discovered first..
