Hello,my name is Govert Jansen.I live in the Netherlands.I .Im 38 and my biggest hobby is computing.I have a Pentium 200 and a Pentium III 1000 and Seti@home runs on both.A few years ago my other hobby was Astronomy.A owned a Celestron C8 "Super Polaris" telescope.
I made some nice pictures from craters on the moon.Unfortunatly i sold it quit cheap when i think of it now.From this money i purchased my first PC,a 486
The best movie about extraterrestial life for me is "Contact" with Jodie
Foster and James Woods which i have now on DVD.This book was written
by Carl Sagan who made the tv-series Cosmos.Carl Sagan was an astronomer
and i like science fiction that was written by scientists.

1 Yes,i believe there is extraterrestrial life ,but im afraid we are
not able the recognize REAL extraterrestrial life.Our definitions
of what life is may be not enough,so we must be open for everything.
2 Yes,we should send a beacon,the signal must contain a mathematical
sort of formula like prime numbers or something like that.
3 I run Seti@home because i want to now if there is life out there!
