Personal background
About me?

Well, i'm 31, a Perl-Programmer (yes, perl rulez!) and System Administrator of dozens of debian linux machines.

I'm half Maltese, having lived there as a child and now living in Germany for 27 years.

Although i am an IT-Guy i do enjoy being away from computers :) - and therefore love to play handball (despite the high risk of injuries) and i also am a handball referee, although i always wonder why i am wasting my weekens often with a hobby when after a game usually none of the teams has a nice word for you. Anyway, i must be doing it because i love the sport :)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Good question what i think about Seti@Home....

Actually i do not believe that there is extraterrestrial intelligence somewhere close to us, there surely will be intelligence somewhere, but maybe lightyears away and how shall we every get there?

anway, since i am in the lucky position to have some often idle linux servers at hand, i can sometimes use them to crunch numbers when i make load tests (or pretend to do be doing so *bg*)

i am happy that i am a tiny part in this huge community :)

On the other hand i am sad that my over 16.000 workunits of classic seti are simply not being credited in BOINC :(
