I think anyone who does not think there are other life forms in the universe is absolutely nuts. I am not sure what I think about the wisdom of contacting ET-but human curiosity will not allow us to just ignore them once we do find them, or they find us.
I just wanted to add that there are some really cool teams taking part in SETI and invite everyone to come take a look at our site at wwseti.com. We have a lot of fun and are truly a world-wide team with members from over 40 countries at last count.
