Personal background
Hi,

I'm a married grandfather who happens to be a mailman and an amateur radio operator. That's enough to keep me busy. I returned to fooling around with computers after 15 years at the urging of my son and daughter. My son taught me how to run the administrative side of computers.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Seti@home provides an interesting hope of finding that our planet is not alone as an inhabited planet, and it's fun to see how fast my machine will run a data set.

I believe the odds of finding signals from an extraterrestial civilization are quite remote, but surprises do occur, and you can't find them if you don't look.
