My name is Victor and I work for Danube Technologies
as a software project manager. We run Seti@home at work
on some of our servers and workstations to contribute to the
SETI cause.
Wouldn't it be great if we found something out there?
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I am certain that extraterrestrial life must exist somewhere
out there in the universe. The problem is probably not that
it does not exist; rather, it is will we ever find it?
Considering the age of the universe, it is highly unlikely
that we would happen to exist exactly in the same timeframe
as other civilizations (considering modern observation tools
are probably not even 50 years old).
But it's still fun to try, and if we happen upon something
it would be extraordinary.
