Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Extraterrestrial life does exist, however any-such evidence to cooberate that statement will not be found until the human race learns from the mistakes of the past and unites in one voice with one truth: we are not alone in the universe. If our planet were to transmit a message beacon into vastness of the cosmos, I believe that the only message we should send would be a brief description of the beliefs that govern our lives, and how those same beliefs have the potential to threaten our own race's survival when they are taken to their extreme. I, myself, run SETI@home as a means of furthering my curiosity and keeping alive my own belief that we are but a single drop of water in a ocean that has no end in sight. I also run SETI@home to give something back to those who believe what I believe and to champion their unwavering and ongoing investigation to uncover the truth.
