I enjoy reading and fishing, and spend a lot of my time researching and investigating new technology.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think the Universe is too big a place for us to be the only cognitive life-form around. Getting the balance right for life to exist is a tricky and time-consuming business, so who knows if there is Intelligent life out there or not (sometimes I wonder if there is Intelligent life here on earth !!)

If there is another race out there, or if there has been at some stage, then I'd like to know about it. It's only natural to wonder, and enquiring minds have to be satisfied.

In thousands of years from now, when our signals reach other galaxies, I hope someone there is listening, and finds out about us.

I also don't believe in waste, and that's what most of our computers do when they are switched on. I hope this project is a fore-runner to something that could make a difference to thousands of peoples' lives. Imagine hundreds of thousands of computers world-wide working on pulling apart the construction of the HIV virus to help researchers find a cure...
