Born in Omaha, NE (no, not in the middle of a cornfield). I'm currently working full time to earn some money to go back to college and work on my car. In my spare time I like watching Chicago Cubs baseball, beta testing computer products, tinkering with my car (a teal '98 Cavalier coupe), and doing things with my local car club.
I recently upgraded my computer and added two more computers, and have been cranking through work units (about 14-15/day now, compared with 1/day) with the help of SetiStash and, since Oct. 3, 2002, SetiQueue.

I no longer have the MCE system. It was on loan to me from Microsoft while testing some software and I had to send it back recently. I'm still debating whether to build a 4-way system. The mobos, even though old, are still expensive, and usually OEM boards that won't fit a standard ATX case. Haven't decided what I'm going to do with the old dual-P2 Xeon parts either.
I have three other systems (four if you count my Xbox) not running SETI. One is an older Compaq P200MMX. The second is an AMD K6-2 500Mhz system that a friend is using while hers is being repaired. The third system is an old Packard Bell P75 system. Something is wrong with the motherboard that prevents the system from POSTing. |
