Personal background
Hi, I'm frm Buenos Aires, 28 yrs old, My Work: technology, electronics, computers, I'm currently doing embedded signal processing programming for a local company, I'm a packet radio amateur, microprocessor programmer, radio frecuency data transmissions specialist.
i'm using seti@home since '99, not sure if we will found a true candidate signal, but the important thing is: work together for it, there is nothing to loose and so much to gain, besides, the experience of this project could
lead to all us, specially to the great guys & girls that create this project, to a bigger one some day, to do something much more powerful.
think of this, what about if we can, individually transmit a rf carrier, controlled by a master computer, and time sincronized, simultaneously at one only frecuency and only a single repetitive message that allow other lifeforms found us!.
It would be extremely complicated with the current technology, but still possible, even when such time-wave sincronization is complex, specially with so many users
:-), perhaps it would be possible in 20 years.
I would like to meet people with similar interests, about science, serious seti stuff.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1: Yes, It's highly probable that lot's of civilizations are out there, unfortunately, our current limit (speed of light) doesn't leave us a method to contact them easily; Dangers?, not more that we have here locally, just
take a look at the wars, politicians, and companys that eat the greatest patent's just for they economical benefit, can't think in someting more dangerous that ourselves.

2: a VERY BIG YES, We MUST TRANSMIT, since it's part of my work, digital radio transmissions, would be glad to help in any way possible; About the information: A PLAIN SIMPLE, Repetitive transmission, the idea is not to tell guys out there the history of our lives, just let it know where we are, and that we really want to make contact.
If you don't speak, no one will know what you want!!.

3: This is a great project, for lifetime.
The most important think in a communicacion, is to LISTEN, so even when we MUST send a signal, It's FAR more important to listen apropiately, you guys are doing a very great job, but would be great if we can listen in the southern emisphere, I was looking at the charts and are many areas
uncovered yet!.
