Personal background
Born in South africa and moved to New Zealand in 1963,moved to Australia in 1988 and now have Australian citizenship as this is now "home for good"

Have a long and extensive background in photography and advertising,established and ran a small town newspaper.
Owned and renovated many homes before moving onto the next one,always saying I would never do that again.
Hobbies are the outdoors,camping,rafting,fishing.

I have a 12 year old son who is trying to make me go grey before my time.
We both love computers.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
We would be have to be very stupid to think that we are the only ones out here,we have neighbours,its just that we have not yet found their neighbourhood.
I do believe that "they" have found us a long time ago but probably see us as an unknown factor and play it safe by just watching.

I think SETI@home is a very important and worthwhile cause and both my son and I think its great to help in a very small way for our P.C.'s to be used this way.

We often turn the computer on to get seti running and then turn off the monitor.
