Profile: RandySchulz

Personal background
My name is Randy (or Randall if you're a Brit or an Aussie).
I am a software developer living in the San Francisco Bay area. I'm currently running a small software business.
I love science, especially physics, and as a software developer dealing with complex systems, the phenomenal complexity of molecular biology is utterly fascinating to me.
I create technology, but live a pretty low-tech life, at least by the standards of my fellow technologists and Silicon Valley dwellers.
My favorite sanity-maintainers are bicycling and dancing.
I like animals and cats are my favorites.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
From God's favorites living at the precise center of the universe to one among many--can there be any doubt?
I can only hope humanity will find a practical way to transcend the speed of light so we can visit and communicate with whatever's out there.
That, or find a way to live sustainably in peace, whichever comes first...
