Extraterrrestrial life definitely exists, but we will probably never initiate contact with it for the distances likely between it and us are astronomical :)
Whether or not it is ever able to contact use all depends on whether you believe the speed of light can be surpassed, because as it stands now- any indication we receive of it will be so old that most likely the civilization making it has already disappeared.
I run Seti because I think picking up ancient alien TV broadcasts (or equivalent, obviously) would be incredibly interesting, but I can't see any immediate interaction with other intelligent life coming from it. |
