Personal background
Living in a haunted house has proven to me that there are realities we have no concept of. Now I want to do what is possible to discover at least a hint or a new direction to look. Are SETI and the things that go bump in the night connected? Who knows.....yet.
My day to day reality as a correctional officer can close the mind if you let it. My past employment has taken me to the top of "Rocket Site Mtn", China Lake, Plant 42, and others as an equipment-providing-contractor to the government. Strange things seen with friends while living in the Mojave Desert have caused questions.
Currently living near the Marfa Lights phenomenon and wondering about all the things we don't know that we don't know. (Wasn't that phrase out of an EST follow-up program?)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI@home is a way for me to not only contribute in a small way, but may give me the chance to be part of the greatest discovery in human history. The genius behind bringing the program to the general public for help should be a nobel prize candidate.
Anyone who is not afraid of being humbled should believe in other life forms. I feel that whoever is out "there", knows about us and will observe our progress and our desire to find them. Are we an experiment? Everything's an experiment.
With all the garbage being thrown from this place, I just hope they don't recognize us as a race of haters, killers, or even worse, "Jerry Springers". How would a beacon or an organized signal get through everything else unless it was directly focused towards the source of a candidate?
No picture because of my personal security needs as a correctional officer.
