Having been born in the USA in 1955, I grew up with the space program and all of the doorways it presented.
Today, I'm the Corporate Technologist for Lexmark International ... not quite what I imagined as

Life does exist outside of our little place in this universe; of this I'm sure.
Is it the type of life some expect? Who knows. Are we the type of life that another would want to find? I hope not.
But, then again, life itself is strange and wonderful.
Have we not already transmitted, both purposely and without intent, "beacons" in to space?
Seti at Home is an excellent way to use the 99.35% of the processoring power in my home that would otherwise go by with the processor wondering around looking for things to do .... |
