Personal background |
I am a 50 year old male who has always enjoyed science fiction. Now I get to participate in a science fiction project that our society has grown capable of pursuing. A pleasure to participate. I work as a purchasing agent for a food manufacturing company. We make most of the soymilk distributed in the US. I enjoy camping, fishing, woodworking, photography, gardening, home remodeling and am active in a freethought group in Fargo, ND.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I think ET exists. It may be that we can find transmissions on the bands we are searching in this program. It may be that we are searching radio frequencies that are only temporarily used by developing technological societies. Maybe there are better means of communications than radio. We are sending a beacon with all the radio traffic we produce. I don't think there is much point pursuing an additional beacon.
Setiathome is a wonderful project. Nonintrusive on my computer.
