Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
the search for E.T does appear to be a real 'needle in a haystack'.There is infinite space out there, containing an infinite number of stars.I joined seti@home because i feel we humans really need to use every resource we can,if we are ever going to establish contact.
I believe E.T to be friendly;....aggresive space invaders is just the result of our imaginations as portrayed in many a science-fiction film.If E.T really is outhere using radio, then they are probebly just as curious as we are. When i look out at all those stars at night it really is difficuilt to comprehend that we are all alone in this vast cosmos!!!
I don't really think it matters what beacon we send out into space,E.T may not understand it anyway,as long as they would know it came from an intelligent source using radio.
Finally if it really does help narrow down the search, then seti@home was a great idea from the outset,...and more people need to join.
