Personal background
40+ father of many!(6). Worked in the Aviation industry before joining the Royal Australian Air Force for over 20 years as an F111 Avionics Technician. Now back in civvy street again, working for Boeing Australia as a Technical Trainer on the RAAF Wedgetail AEW&C Project. Love stargazing, sci-fi (written and movies), space science and technology, model rocketry (a while ago now!) and the outdoor life.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. You have to be trully naive to think we are alone in this great big universe! I mean just look at the number of galaxys you can see from some of those Hubble photo shots! And people think it is only just us here! Not me.

2. When and how we find them, only time will tell. Once we can break that golden barrier of light travel, we will wonder why it took us so long!

3. I run SETI@home because I can! Anything for the cause in my opinion. And if we are alone, what have I lost anyhow! But wouldnt it be great to be the one who crunched the numbers that discovered the signal! Your name in history FOREVER! Gotta love that!
