Profile: Brent A. Musat

Personal background
I'm a computer engineer who's facinated with the universe and the possibility of life out there somewhere. I've been a member of SETI@home since I first heard about it in 1999. I've recently built a new computer to be used as a server but it sits idle for a good amount of time. Figured I might as well use the extra compute time for something useful.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes I think extraterrestial life exists. I believe the best way to discover it is to search the EM spectrum for some intelligent pattern. I think SETI@home is an excellent way to use the idle computing power around the world. And if it is successful, and a signal is found, it will be the most important discovery man has ever made.
