I'm a young, dutch IT proffesional. A few years ago I started my own little IT company, RiderSoft, and since then I've been around the works a few times. These days I use mosly Gentoo Linux on my systems, altough occasionally Windows comes by as well.
I live in Delft, the best city in the world, and have the usual techie/geek hobbies. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I joined SETI@Home almost 4 years ago, mainly for 2 reason. First of all, it's a great way of getting things done. Millions of users sharing computer time to become a virtual supercomputer, awesome. And secondly, because I am convinced that there is someone else but us out there. And while it most likely won't be Babylon 5 or Star Trek like, we should try to reach out and find out.
Science and knowledge are goals in their own rights, and in a small way, I like to contribute. |
