I am a 35 y-o man from Costa Rica. I work as an anthropologist here although I consider my self a computer enthusiast also, especially of computer history. I really like the idea of mass computing world wide. It reminds me of the concept of computer \\"utilities\\" widely spread in the 1960\\'s.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Well, to me is of great importance to use my resources to colaborate with a project that tries to answer one of the most trascendental questions of human kind. Is there intelligent life out there?
I am also proud of being part of an initiative that to a great extent makes the life dream of Carl Sagan come true and also an initiative that spawned mass computing world wide at the end of the 1990\\\\\\'s.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
