| I am a composer and musician living in the American Southwest, only a few hours from the VLA. Although I am consumed with my music, I am also passionate about many other things, including studying the Italian language and learning about cultures other than my own. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

SETI@home is a fantastic opportunity, and I only wish I had discovered it earlier. I believe it would be terribly arrogant to believe that we are the only form of life in this vast and magnificent universe. Whether we make contact this year, or in a hundred years, I do believe contact will be made. In the meantime, SETI@home is not only a chance to participate in something tremendously exciting, but it is also a socially responsible use of home computers and energy.
