I am working in the IT field as a software engineer. I got the computer science and multimedia background, also I am very interested in Extraterrestrial Intelligence research.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I do believe there are some extraterrestrial lives out there. However I think we human need a long time to discover it because they are surely quite far from us. Maybe it is dangerous to try to discover them, but I think it is worthy. 2.The earth is so tiny in the universe. So beacon setting is a key for transmitting our information to other planets. The professors in U of Cambridge thought they found 'the little green man' because they caught the strong signal from some pulsars. Absolutely that is a idea for us to build the beacon, which we have done something like that. 3. I run seti@home because I wanna help the researchers in the university of berkeley.
