I'm 33 and live in Oldtown Id. I work on small engines (lawnmowers, snoblowers, chainsaws, etc.) and have 5 kids ranging from 18 to 3. If you do the math, you'll see that I was 15 when the first one was born. My wife and I are foster parents (that explains the 18 year old), and enjoy it very much.
I'm also a fireman, and the choir director and church pianist at my local church. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I think SETI@home is a great idea! What better way to search for a needle in a haystack than to increase the number of searchers.
I'm not entirely convinced that we'll find something, but it would be interesting if we did. Perhaps it will be like "Contact", although I doubt it. If we DO find something, I think it will be unlike anything we've ever imagined.
Why do I run SETI@home? I figure it's nice to have my computer doing something useful with all it's spare time. And if we do find something, I'd like to think that I helped in some small way. |
