This will be deep personal ... All my life I felt absorbed by stars, moon and pitch black sky. Since I was very litle I was watching stars for hours ... I live in a very small city where night is trully dark - no artificial lights, so at winter sky above me was really a mistery and something beyond anything else. I was able to see unlimited amount of stars. I was free !! I remember, I will never forget my old room, I had my bad near the window, so each full moon was covering my bad with a well known silver light... I feel bound to universe, I feel so strong part of it, this feeling never left me, I trully love silance of the cold winter night, when It helps me feel universe cold and silent yet so fascinating. I could probably write a book right now couse my fantasy is getting out .....
About me: I'm from poland.I'm programmer/graphic/web page designer. I participate in SETI@home couse even *if* there is nothing out there it's better to check it out. My life was and is not easy but ... the moon and the stars are always there for me.Sorry for any mistakes in EN but I was working for last 40 hours :( |

ad1. Yes. Universe is unexplored it can be more then we think it is. It can spread not only in space but also it dimension or ... can't name it. I believe that *they* will be more advanced in many ways then we are today,so probably when our earth-civilization will be mature enough they will contact us or let us contact them. When the time will come we will not think in category wrong/bad - are we looking for another planet to conquer or we looking for something else? Our civilization is self-figthing for too long! We are fighting from whole countries down to single person...
ad2. sure. besides a direction to our home and other obvious things ... we should send something that only human being is able to send ... love.
ad3. I wrote it in my personal background - even *if* there is nothing out there it's better to check it out... but also - it might sound simple - but I run seti because I believe. If I can make any sugestion - In my last work I was behind proxy and I wasn't able to get through - I culdn't run seti :( I have now ADSL at home so I run it here ... 24-7. |
