| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| Mostly decided to run SETI@home in the winter since I'm using electric heat, might as well get some use out of the power on it's way to heat, doesn't hurt having a pile of formerly dead computers too. I think of the project as one of those low probability events, during any single year, that would have an out sized impact on our collective understanding if it finds anything. I'm not expecting it to pay off during my life, but if no one looks the lack of results will be certain. |
