| I am a communications type from Wales, the bit next to England that isn't actually part of it (like Canada or Portugal). Wales is lovely, you must all visit, but not all at once! We might run out of towels! |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I think the first thing that E.T. will be transmitting will be a faster way to communicate in space. Either a better way to use E-M, or a completely new way that doesn't take so long to travel.
They are bound to be cleverer than us. I think we will make them laugh, which could be a valuable thing, but then they might not need to meet us for that, they could watch our T.V.
As for our violence and fighting over stuff, I don't think it will be a surprise to them, as all Civilised races start out as animals....we're just still at the "upright but still a bit dumb" stage. |
