Personal background
I'm currently 24 years old and attending Murray State University in Murray, KY. I'm a biology major, but I'm more fascinated with physics. My favorite author is Orson Scott Card, and I'm a huge sci fi fan. My favorite video game is Final Fantasy III, which I'm currently playing. My favorite band is Modest Mouse, and my favorite movie is Sense and Sensibility, although the Lord of the Rings movies might take over the favorite position (and not just because Legolas is such an attractive elf). I have a pet fish named Gaydar, and that's about it.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think extraterrestrial life exists because the universe is just too big to house only what is here. I'd say it borders arrogance to think other life doesn't exist.

I'm not too sure about us transmitting a beacon for others to find. What if something intercepted our beacon and didn't like it? This sounds like it's in the realm of sci fi, but anything is possible. We should send pictures of kittens, haha.

funny quote
"but don't let the RIAA catch you listening to deepspace transient radio frequencies without paying the aliens royalties."
