Profile: JLA

Personal background
Originally from Texas but have lived in Hawaii for several years. I've been running SETI@home since 2001. I'm a network engineer with a degree in electrical engineering technology.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I support the idea of seeking out ET life for the purpose of knowing but I am rabidly against attempting to communicate with ET life until we have developed significant interstellar travel and defensive capability.
I would like to see SETI@home develop an Opencl CPU capability since it is supported by BOINC.
