Personal background
Hmmm, cat hair in my cup of coffee. How did that happen? I ask my two cats.

Anyway, not much to say about me. I'm a recycled college student studying medical transcription, which should provide a more flexible and better-paying career than working at a store for minimum wage. Lots of bills to pay. I was born and raised in Trail, BC, known for Teck Cominco http://www.teckcominco.com/Generic.aspx?PAGE=Operations+Pages%2fZinc+Smelters+%26+Refineries+Pages%2fTrail&portalName=tc

(or "stinky Cominky" as we used to call it) and the Trail Smoke Eaters hockey team http://www.trailsmokeeaters.com/. It's a small city in the West Kootenays, near the US border, and is usually referred to as "that place that's about two hours' drive away from Kelowna or Cranbrook."

There is lots of low-paying work around here, and higher-paying work requires at least some significant schooling. So here I am, doing college courses from home, and picking cat hair out of my coffee. And trying to do other interesting things, like read a book about John Forbes Nash, "Holy Blood, Holy Grail," and too many sci-fi books to enumerate.
