I'm 26 years old, I live in Padova (Italy) a nice city near the well know city of Venice. I'm a PhD student in Astronomy at Padova University and my research interests are supernovae, globular clusters and wide field imaging data reduction software.
I'm currently working at an intermediate redshift SN search which make extensive use of the WFI@2.2m at ESO La Silla Observatory (Chile) for the search and of VLT for the spectroscopic follow-up to confirm the SN candidates.
My lovely girlfriend now is working in the USA at UCB with prof. Ivan King to develop globular clusters models and I really miss her! My other interests are Linux and open source software, riding my bike and playing bass guitar. I really love RUSH, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Van Morrison, Jaco Pastorius and Dream Theater.
