We are a combined age of 86 years young. We are both artists and love life. We spend approxametaly 40 hours between the two of us online per week. So I guess the internet is our second full-time job! Our favorite movie genre is sci-fi and it's really cool if it's a horror sci-fi. We live in the state of confusion...oops I mean Indiana. We would like to find ET because we both need to know who our parents are. : )
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes we both believe that there is other intellegent life out there. I think personally that we won't find it, it will find us. The benifits are beyond our comprehension I'm sure. The dangers are many but the one I think we should consider before asking them home for dinner is , Are they nice?
2. No, I don't think we should transmit any beacons until we know more.
3. Because it is the least that we can do to help out. We think that the project is very useful and will someday be able to prove once and for all to even the most pig headed doubting Thomas out there.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
