Personal background
I am 45 and live in England. You could say that my hobby is hobbies (I like to dabble). I've always been considered unconventional (typical Aquarian) so the SETI@home project is right up my alley. One character I like about myself is the ability to look at things from an unusual point of view. I have read (and 'understood') A BRIEF HISTORY OF TIME, unlike a lot of people who bought the book and never opened it.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
One of the things I like pondering (while walking the dog) is this. Considering the concept of the BIG BANG and the BIG CRUNCH, how many bang/crunch cycles have there been. Is this a valid idea? and, could the idea every be 'proven'. Infact I find the whole concept of a pre-bang existance a fascinating topic - that is 'existance' in terms of energy both before and as it coalesces.
