Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes, of course there is extraterrestrial life. It is silly to think we are the only ones in a universal with billions and billions of suns and even more planets.
I think it will take us a few more years to discover them. Perhaps 50, 100 more. Not much. But to get in contact will be much more difficulty.
I think there if life out there just starting ina world out there right at this moment. I think, there are planets, where life gets wiped out right at this moment and other planets, where it just develpos from bacteria status to bigger lifeforms.
If we can lifeforms who are more developt than us, it could be good for us to learn from them about generating energy and in parts of medicin, etc.
I don't think there is any danger for us.
2. Of course we should. At first a pattern that show here is life, is most important, I does not have to say anything spcial. But just a pattern other lifeforms can detect as a message.
3. I don't realy think, that we can discover any lifeform in the next years, but it is possible. And the more ppl help the faster we may discover these other lifes.
