| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I do believe extraterrestrial life exists. Pretty conceited not to right? I don't know that humans will discover it, I think we have already been discovered. Dangers---we all die from an irate alien race. Benefits---medical, technological, emotional. I think we could learn a lot from other life forms.
We should transmit a beacon for others to find. I think it should include information about the human race. Might be scary to transmit genetic info. but something along those lines. Kinda a visual of what we look like. Except we don't look scary, so that might invite the irate alien races!! haha
I think SETI@home is interesting because it gives regular people a chance to feel as if they are accomplishing or helping to accomplish something bigger in their life than Starbuck's. There is more out there than our little world. :)
